While there are plenty of MiSTing collections out there, I've decided to plant my collection here. I've got the ones Ben and I did, and some that I've downloaded.
Feel free to comment on the Ben & Ian ones. Just click here.
While I'm at it, here's a link to Ben's home page.
Mine:
SA Riot/Meeting: You may have heard about the protests here at Binghamton University. Well, when it first began, we had a minor outbreak of silliness here on CoRE chat (our mailing list). This is a MiSTing I did when somebody responded to reason with silliness.
help: First in the Ian/Ben Trilogy. It's some kind of paranoid post I found in some games newsgroups. A bit longer. Read it!
LANL: Alien Artifacts?? with a short, Re: Freedom and Privacy of Thoughts: Second in the afrementioned trilogy. A short about Taiwanese Mind Control and hidden Alien Artifacts. Turned out pretty well.
::: The Mother of Thoth ::: with a short, Ultrasonic Mind Control: Last one. This one doesn't make any sense at all. Really. But, it turned out pretty darned funny.
Flying Colors Paint Company: This one was just me. It popped up on the mailing list and I couldn't resist...
Others:
(All
Zipped)
I take no credit for these. The original authors (of both parts) should be listed inside each one.
2000-X: X-Men fanfic. Set in the future, no continuity, etc.
3.1 Billion, FREE Info: A remarkably vague announcement advertising information about an equally vague moneymaking technique.
a trek eulogy: A guy with no life writes about ST:TNG's cancellation.
The Abduction Papers: Guess.
ALERT!! Scientific Creationism: The name says it all.
Alien Sex Machines: Something about aliens having sex with people.
"Aliens" Meets ST:TNG: Again, self-explanatory. Bad fanfic.
Aliens Invade Primetime: No, not a review of 3rd Rock, a wacky thing about aliens controlling TV.
All Hell Breaking Loose: Truly strange ST:TNG fanfic.
Allic's Nightmare: Part of some Role-Playing thingy.
Are You a Dreamer?: A get-rich-quick scam
Barney FAQ: Answers questions like, "Am I Evil?" and "Why doesn't my knees bend?"
Barney Jihaddi: New developments in anti-Barney weaponry (huh?)
Can. Govt. Pays CIA "Brainwashing" Victims: Yep, mind control. I'm in your head....
The Captain and the Doctor: One of Steven Ratliff's stories. It's a rather awful ST:TNG fanfic.
CRACKPOTS: Wierd astrophysics. I think it was intended as a joke, but didn't really pan out.
The DANGER Of HALLOWEEN!: A generally cleless rant on why Haloween is evil. As I previously stated, I'm in it for the "Fun Size" Snickers™ bars.
Devilism/Satanism In The Radio/Music Biz!!!: These guys are like Satan... FROM HELL!!!
First chapter of potential book: I'm fairly sure this never got published.
Fragment from a dream diary: Thank goodness it's just a fragment. I'd hate to read the whole thing.
FREE FILES! MOST CONTROVERSIAL IN THE WORLD!: Historical revisionism.
LOCKED OUT OF USENET NEWSGROUPS: The historical revisionist mocked elsewhere on this page gets what's coming to him. Or at least part of it.
MAKE.MONEY.FAST: The classic get-rich-quick chain letter scam.
Miracle of Love Workshop: An ad for a course or something that costs a couple hundred bucks.
Movies from Outer Space: A generally clueless review of MST3K gets riffed.
Nazis Did Not Use the Big Lie Technique: Well, actually they did. Historical revisionism at its most absurd.
Need a LOT OF CASH, FAST? Play this WIN-WIN GAME. You CAN'T LOSE!: Take a wild guess.
NO GOD, NO FREE WILL: Random theology (I think - it's kinda hard to understand).
Plutonium Atom Totality, the FAQ: Apparently the universe is contained in one atom of plutonium. (A really big one, I guess)
Psychotronics: Danger! Death Rays!
Potroast: Some kind of wierd X-Files fanfic.
The Purple Book: This is wierd on so many levels. Seems that Barney is the only antidote to mind controlling paramecium...
ST:TNG Episode 666: A very bad attempted parody of ST:TNG. Very, very bad...
True Lies: Summary of a fascist propaganda movie: Just doesn't get it, does he?
U.S.A. Will Soon Be In The Hands of Dictator!: Just one? It's a general paranoia sort of thing.
Xena: Warrior Princess FAQ: Really badly written, too. (And how often do people ask the real name of her horse?)
