Fall 2008 Aftermath

This MaxOver was a success. There was a lot of free stuff we gave out from sponsors, and tons of prizes. Had an estimated 200 people at the height of the event. We guessed that we would have had more had it not been raining. Next MaxOver we're going to try and get to the East Gym. There are still tee shirts left from MaxOver that are for sale for $10. Working on uploading images so check back later for those.

MAXIMUM OVERKILL - About MaxOver

For almost a decade, CoRE has been running an event called "Maximum Overkill" each semester on campus. Maximum Overkill was originally a small gaming tournament using the built in projectors of the lecture halls to play Unreal Tournament on "the big screens". We held this tournament over a few hours and gave out prizes to the top three players. A few years ago, we decided to become more ambitious and change the format from a simple tournament to an entire gaming convention.

Maximum Overkill - Fall 2008

New site to allow easier flow and control. We have forums up so that people can discuss what games they want to see an MaxOver. This MaxOver is dedicated to a former CoRE member, Tim Reilly, who recently passed away. Pre-Registration to come soon. Heres what we decided:
* Paid Pre-Registration - Est. Cost $10
What you get: MaxOver Tee-shirt, 2x Cans of soda (Coke Products), priority seating in the main room, and a donation to the Tim Reilly memorial.

* Regular Registration - Free
What you get: A seat at MaxOver (so long as there are seats left from paid registration).
